Donation made for the treatment of persons suffering from cancer, kidney failure, Brain tumor heart disease & handicapped.

Health & Nutrition: Last year VSSU donated Rs. 3,35,000 to support the treatment of persons suffering from life-threating and conditions like cancer, kidney failure, brain tumors and heart disease. VSSU also provides medicines for those unable to afford them. In 2004 VSSU helped UNICEF to implement the polio program in the surrounding area. Our role in that partnership was to run campaign to sensitize and create awareness in the community about the critical importance of having children immunized against polio.

Additionally, VSSU gives food aid and other basis commodities to some 700 destitute individuals or households. Most often, these recipients are either the elderly, poor people who live in marginalizes areas, or people who are otherwise unable to secure foodstuffs and essential commodities like rice, dal (lentils) ,milk and medicine.
